Sometimes life throws things at you that are hard to handle. We get lost in our work and careers, we have relationship problems, family problems come up...lets face it, life can get difficult at times. Stress from money and many other issues. Often times we get so wrapped up in the moment and can get so narrow minded and focused on ourselves and become so selfish.
No matter how crazy or busy my life gets i never want to get too busy or wrapped up in myself to be there for the people who matter most to me in my life. You never know what could happen, you might not always have people that are close to you around. Cherish every moment, you never know if it will be your last. If all you focus on is yourself you'll never be happy. One of the best ways to find happiness, is to give happiness for others.
Things might not always be going the way you want them to, and you'll have to face situations that you would never in a million years would have chosen for yourself. But dont get caught up in life's "Storms." One day you'll look back on your life...you dont want to look at it with regrets. The day to day decisions you make determine your life and destiny. Dont live for a moment, live for a lifetime.
Sometimes i wonder what would happen if people suddenly had to go without phones, ipods, or computers. If technology was not as advanced as it is today. Although technology is a very helpful, useful tool it seems to consume much of peoples time and attention. Children no longer go to the parks and enjoy the great outdoors...they're inside playing there game systems and surfing the web. I mean, why write a letter, or go to the library? Oh thats right, theres email and wikipedia, c'mon rt? Why go outside and play baseball when you can play the video game? People freak out if they dont have there phone for a few hours. Since when did we become so obsessed with technology? Do people sit down and just talk without the TV on at night? Do people talk and have regular conversation, or do they text or use some form of instant messenger.
Dont get me wrong i love technology just as much as the next person...obviously..im writing this blog by using it. Its just we do people have to be so impersonal? It can be a great tool. I just think that its an abused luxury. That there are more important things in life to spend your time with. Most of the stuff that is done using technology can be done...its just done in a different way. I dont know whatever, this probly sounds like a bunch of scattered thoughts, its just been on my mind and kind of frustrating me lately.
Until next time, i bid you goodnight.
Yes, I am still alive. I have just been neglecting my blog lately for which i apologize for.
Lately i have been realizing how hard at times trust can be. Trust is more that just believing in someone, in their character, or their potential. Trust is more like a prediction. Being able to rely on a persons actions based on a understanding from one person to another. Trust is a difficult thing to do because when you rely or trust in someone you put yourself in a vulnerable position. You are putting your confidence in another persons actions and you yourself can do nothing about it. It is all on the other person. Trust, though it is not easy is a vital part of life. I only hope that the people that i put my trust in will prove themselves worthy of that trust. The alternative i do not look forward to.
My current activities include trying to stay up all night playing video games, (Wii and ps3) watching Stargate Atlantis, and eating way too much burrito factory. At the moment I am watching my Fiance play "Unreal Tournament" and drinking good ole' redline. We shall see how long i last...ooo i think its my turn to play now =D wish me luck
Another day in outer space...another day to make a difference...the possibilities are endless. Today i get slay the dragon, rescue the fair maiden, and defeat the enemy, well in a way i guess. We all have our little problems to solve and issues to overcome. Right now i am going to push away such thoughts and sit back and let the world go on without me for the rest of the day.
Sometimes people come into our lives and something clicks and you can sense right away that they were meant to be there for that moment and that time for a certain, specific reason. You just know that they are there to make a difference in your life: To help you get through something, to help you learn something, or just to help you find yourself and help you develop into the person that you want to be.
Things in life dont always go as we would like or choose. At times life seems like a cruel, unfair, and painful phase of our existence. We have to go through and experience unfortunate and complicated circumstances that we dont care for and understand. In reflection, though, you come to realize that without overcoming those obstacles in your life you would never realize your strength, potential, will power, or heart. Nothing happens in life just because...Everything that happens to us happens for a reason. Mistakes and success, love and heartbreak, moments of triumph, illness...etc...are all there to test you as a person, to test your inner self. Without these tests in life...life would appear dull and boring...like a straight path going no where. Safe and comfortable, but utterly pointless.
Your life is affected from the people you meet and the people you let inspire and influence you by example. Your success and your mistakes as an individual create and make you who your are, and the bad experiences can be learned from.
Bottom line...never give up. If you dont believe and have confidence in yourself, no one else will either.
If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out
that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe
and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark.
Dark would be without meaning.
-C.S. Lewis
Many, and most of all people, have very strong convictions and beliefs or some kind of structure that defines how they live as people. This gives them a purpose of what and why they are here in this life. Everyone has there own opinion on this matter...but what is the right one? And is it possible to find out and know for certain what that right one purpose is? And are we capable of finding it?
I find myself thinking about this more and more. Sometimes our life becomes filled with things that are so trivial and unimportant. People are becoming more conceited than anything else. Are we so self absorbed in ourselves and caught up in our own opinions and ideas that we would even be able to see anything different than our own point of view or way of thinking?
Just some thoughts....greatly interested in yours..
Self-absorption can be the downfall of many lives. It certainly can lead to the downfall of truth. We also have... read more
